What is Tools For School?
Tools for School is a program designed to help students and families prepare for the school year by providing essential school supplies at little or no cost. Its goal is to ensure that every student has the materials they need to succeed academically, regardless of their family’s financial situation. The program often partners with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to collect and distribute items like folders, notebooks, pens, pencils, and other classroom necessities. By reducing the financial burden on families, Tools for School helps students start the year ready to learn, feel confident, and focus on their education rather than worrying about missing supplies.
Meet Ashton Pinkerton
Ashton Pinkerton serves as the Tools for School Coordinator, working alongside YSB staff and local partner organizations to make sure children in Huntington County have the school supplies they need to succeed. Through donations and community support, the program helps remove barriers to learning, giving students the confidence and tools to start the school year prepared and ready to thrive.
